Focused on Strong, Reliable IT Support
We exist to give businesses the confidence that their systems are protected, monitored, and supported by a team committed to strong security and fast, consistent help.

How Pulse Got Here
Pulse Technology Consulting Group Inc grew from a simple observation: many small and mid-sized businesses were depending on technology every day, but their IT support was not keeping up with the way they worked. Public company information notes that Chris Thomas and Michael VanCamp brought their separate IT firms together in 2014 to create Pulse, combining technical experience with a more relationship-driven approach to business technology.
That perspective still shapes the company today. The businesses that come to Pulse are often dealing with slow responses, recurring downtime, aging systems, unclear security risks, or a provider that fixes tickets without helping them plan ahead. They do not want IT to be treated like a one-time transaction. They want practical guidance, plain-English explanations, and a technology plan that supports how their firm actually operates.
Pulse now works with growth-oriented organizations across areas including Salt Lake County, Cache County, Sacramento County, Placer County, and San Joaquin County. Many clients are founder- or CEO-led legal, financial, accounting, construction, healthcare, or professional services firms with 5 to 100 employees. They rely on Pulse for managed IT, help desk support, technology consulting, monitoring, security planning, backup validation, and ongoing strategic review.
The leadership team includes Chris Thomas, President and CEO, Michael VanCamp, VP of Sales, Phillip Murrietta, Service Manager, and Tara Thomas, Director of Marketing. The team is currently updating bios and photos, but the operating philosophy is clear: Pulse is here to help businesses make better technology decisions before problems interrupt the work that matters.

How Pulse Works With Clients
Pulse is a fully managed IT provider with a consultative approach. The work is technical, but the relationship is built on clarity, consistency, and long-term planning.
Plain-English Guidance
Pulse serves business leaders who need answers they can act on, not technical jargon that creates more confusion. The team explains issues, recommendations, and risks in practical language so clients can make informed decisions.
Proactive Planning After Onboarding
The client relationship begins with discovery, documentation, security and monitoring deployment, backup validation, and optimization. After onboarding, Pulse continues the conversation through scheduled strategy meetings and ongoing business reviews.
Support Designed Around Ownership
Pulse does not want clients to feel like they are managing the IT provider. The team documents environments, reviews critical systems, and looks for gaps so clients have a clearer view of what is in place and what needs attention.
A Fit for Growth-oriented Firms
Pulse is best aligned with organizations that value planning, security, and long-term improvement. These clients tend to see technology as critical to operations, reputation, and growth, not just as a cost to minimize.
